As we all know, Sparrows are small passerine birds. Whether we like it or not, or even know it, we have been surrounded by Sparrows our entire life. They are found everywhere and follow us wherever we go. Many species nest on buildings, in particular inhabit cities in large numbers, so sparrows may be the most familiar of all wild birds. They are primarily seed eaters, though they also consume small insects.
Thanks to rampant construction, cities now lack old or large trees with hollows or holes in the trunks and big buildings with glass facades has resulted in fast depletion of the birds, especially sparrows. The ornithologist have found that while adult sparrows mostly eat grains, their babies, tend to be fed on insects. In China during the Mao rule, Sparrows were declared as pest and killed in billions to preserve the crops, but then it was being left to the insects. It is sometimes only when a species is removed that we see clearly its value.
So Friends, save Sparrows!!
