Muktinath (12,500feet), located at the foot of the Thorong La mountain pass, is one of the most ancient Hindu temples of God Vishnu. It’s a sacred place for both Hindus and Buddhists and is also called Mukti Kshetra, which means the “place of liberation or moksh”.
