Around 20 kms from Nainital, lies the seven lakes of Saattal. This is really a birders paradise with forest trails. The seven lakes at Sat Tal are Ram Tal, Laxman Tal, Sita Tal, Bharat Tal, Hanuman Tal, Garud Tal, and Purna Tal.

On one of the streams we found a variety of birds having a bath in the heat of May. Do have a look at the short video below.

The forest cover is quite dense and many varieties of birds are found here. The hills offers pleasant forest walks under the vast forest cover and has lot of small waterfalls and streams.
