Nainital, also called the lake district of India, is a popular hill station in the Kumaon foothills of the outer Himalayas in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Nainital is set in a valley containing a mango-shaped lake, approximately two miles in circumference, and surrounded by mountains. Nainital itself is at an height of 6800 feet.
